Being in love is like walking with an invisible halo of happiness around you. The most precious inner and outer joy called love transports you directly to a fantastical la la land. And, we celebrate this magical love on Valentine’s Day with our loved ones, although, I truly believe that we should celebrate it every day. I believe when you are with the right partner, your every day is gushing with love. But Valentine’s Day for me is an opportunity to express my side of love since I’m not that expressive. It is a day to convey to my valentine how much I love him and to thank him for being the perfect substitute of missing perfection of my life. So, I’m dedicating this Shakespearean sonnet to my special someone and all the lovebirds out there 🙂
Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no; it is an ever-fixed mark,
That looks on tempests, and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth’s unknown, although his height be taken.
Love’s not Time’s fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle’s compass come;
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.
Yeah, Love’s not Time’s fool
